Mission:

“See people restored spiritually, emotionally, and relationally through the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Vision:

“Be a church that brings gospel hope to our city by being faithful witnesses where we live, work, and play.”

Values:

  • We believe worship exists for the joy and exaltation of Jesus. All things were created by him, through him, and for him (John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16) and therefore he is worthy of our worship (Psalm 75:1; Psalm 100; Jeremiah 20:13; Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 12:28-29; Revelation 4:8-11; Revelation 7:9-12). In light of these truths all of our life is to be lived in worshipful response to who Christ is and what he has done for us.

  • We believe community exists for the encouragement of believers. Since the God, in whose image we are made, has always existed in community as the Trinity, so we are designed and flourish best in community. We believe that the church is the expression of this new community that has been formed in Christ and it is here that we find encouragement through accountability, shared rejoicing, shared suffering, and shared burdens (Psalm 133:1; Romans 12:4-5, 16; Romans 14:1; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Galatians 3:28-29; 1 Peter 3:8; 1 John 1:7).

  • We believe that discipleship exists to mature believers in their walk with Christ and to develop leaders for helping to care for the local church. As Matt Chandler says, “No one stumbles into holiness,” and so we believe that intentional time spent talking through Scripture, praying together, and confessing sins to one another helps us mature as followers of Jesus (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalm 119; John 8:31-32 1 Corinthians 11:1; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 5:13-18). We also believe that discipleship helps us to identify, train, and deploy leaders that help the church to thrive and fulfill the mission God has given us (Ephesians 4:11-16; Philippians 2:3-4; 1 Timothy 4:6-16; 2 Timothy 2:22-26; Titus 1:5-9; Hebrews 13:7).

  • We believe missions exists for the spread of the gospel in our city and around the world. We take our cue for missions from the God who came, on mission, to rescue and redeem us in Christ. We now serve as ambassadors who seek to spread the good news of the Kingdom of God through praying, giving, and going in obedience to God and for the joy of those who have yet to hear and believe the gospel (1 Chronicles 16:23-36; Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:16-20; John 20:21; Acts 1:6-9; Romans 10:14-17).
